Haven't tagged in a while, although much has happened in the past 2 weeks of hols.

First day on the job: Sucked. Had to take the first bus at 5.30, and when I got there Michael was late. Then the aunties there picked on me for no reason. Asked me to do things although I was still new and didn't know how things ran there. They told me off in a very sarcastic manner too. I would normally put up with it, but hey, it's my first day on the job! I don't think I deserved such harsh treatment.

The second day was just as bad, so I told Michael I was going to stop at the end of the week. Luckily he found a replacement that night so I didn't have to get pissed off anymore. He was nice enough to still pay me for 2 days though.

On wed, gan ma took us to Suntec City for the Popular Book Fair, a quick stop a cineleisure cause I wanted to try for the walk-in interview at Pasta Mania. Ate at the US Diner, had a Gutbuster which made me quite full, although I was freaking hungry by then (I skipped dinner the night before and breakfast that morning).

I got 3 comics, Walking Dead I and II, as well as Wanted. Yes, "Wanted" as in the movie. Although the comic was way different. In the comic, Wesley works at a newsletter editorial, and his girlfriend is a goth. The Fraternity is actually made up of supervillains who in 1986, banded together and killed all the superheroes in a full scale war. After having done that, they built a machine in the Empire State Building to make everyone forget the superheroes, making them think superheroes only exist in comics. Basically, the Fraternity gets to kill, rape, torture and just about do anything and the police won't do anything to stop them, nor will their crimes be reported in the newspapers. I don't want to ruin the plot though, so I'll let you read it yourself if you want :D

Other than the comics, I also got 2 of the "Power of Five" novel series (fantasy novel, kind of interesting though kind of childish, good plot though) and TSGS 18, as well as a guitar playing handbook (so I can start learning how to play the electric). I'd definitely recommend the Power of Five series to whoever likes fast paced thrillers. It is kind of like The Da Vinci Code meets Heroes, only the heroes are 15 year olds.

After wed, it was kind of dull throughout, spent my days playing com at home. Got to play with Ryan when he comes over on Friday or Thursdays though. He's really cute, he's learned a lot of teochew/english/chinese words just by listening to the people around him talk and he's still under 2 years old! He's quite smart, he actually knows how to use a mop, although he does tend to be a bit mischievous. My relatives all say he acts a lot like me when I was a baby. Ha.

Started play WoW private servers the past few days. It's quite fun really, with the friendly online community and the many different ways to play the game. Even hitting the level cap of 70 doesn't mean you're strong. There are still raids you can do to get better gear that you can't buy, and it's definitely much more interesting than playing Maple private servers (which my sis has been playing for the past 2 weeks. She has like 32k of each stat, the max, and she's still playing). The quests actually have some plot and sense to them too. Oh well.

Mum came back from Taiwan on Tuesday. Brought home some souvenirs. She bought this set of bowls for the whole family, with the words "La Ma" (Hot Mama), "Shuai Ba" (Handsome Father), "Ku ge" (Cool Bro) and the last one was for my sis, can't really remember the adjective. (It's written in traditional chinese, and in a cursive kind of style, so i can't really read it).

I'm so bored cooped up at home. My pal agreed to get me to go along for shopping (yes I'm that desperate to get out of the house). If any of you are having pool or movie outings call me too D:

Just came back from the cafe I'm supposed to work at. The owner, Michael wanted to brief me and all that. It takes 1 fucking hour for 176 to reach the stupid PSA building. I mean, come on, what is up going one damn round around Bukit Batok for?

Michael seems like a nice guy. I'm going to start on Monday!

Walked home in the rain again. Stupid global warming. Making it rain so much.

Rock N' Roll Train by AC/DC is a good listen. Everyone should check it out.

Finally, the last paper of the O Levels is over! Was quite easy, and we all cheered and shouted once Mr Ho announced that we may leave the hall. Haha.

Went home for a while, and it seems weird that there was hardly anyone on the bus home. Seems like everyone went to town to have their post-exam celebrations.

Met Tim Lim, Tze Yang, Keith and Aaron to play pool at Meridien. Although we agreed to meet at 12, I had to wait for everyone till 12.30 before Aaron showed. And 15 minutes later, Tze Yang and Tim Lim. The 2 of them went to watch Quantum of Solace before coming. Keith came the latest.

After our pool session, we rushed down to the Cathay Cineplex and watch Madagascar 2. We left Tim Lim to buy our tickets while we went to buy snacks. Did all that 5 minutes before the start of the movie. Haha. And we made it just in time while the movie was just starting.

Madagascar 2 is definitely a good movie to watch. It's filled with comedy from start to finish, especially when it involved the stupid raccoon (not really sure what he is) king.

After that we stopped by Carl's Jr for early dinner. We saw Mahdi and some other guys from SJI, and they really made me wonder why Josephians find the need to do stupid things. There was this gap in the glass barrier where a plant was placed and instead of walking an extra 3m, they decided to squeeze through. It was only the last 2 guys that had the common sense to walk around the glass. The things some guys do.

Had some fun reminiscing about the 2 years we had as a class. About the time when near 20 of our phones had been confiscated at a time, about the funny crap some of us did in class. I'll sure miss the times we had, especially the lessons we learned from our teachers, and not just academically.

Like how Mrs Tan, our maths teacher, always liked to come up with unique jokes and analogies to teach us maths. Despite her occasional temper, she's really been a great teacher to us the past 2 years. I still remember the first lesson we had with her when she was scolding us cause all of us forgot our holiday homework from sec 2.

And Mr Ho, although he's moving on to MOE, he's made our physics lessons really interesting, showing us how some of the concepts we learn are applied in our everyday life, such as the electric guitar using electromagnetic induction.

And Mr Kwang, who's been advocating MOE's "Teach less learn more" policy for the past 2 years. Although we hardly received any chem notes, he's made sure we all understand what is taught in chem lessons. Not to mention the weird jokes he makes.

Ms Chia, who's filled our English lessons with mirth and laughter, allowing us to discuss anything under the sun. She's our motherly figure in school and I can never thank her enough for the concern she's shown me in the past 2 years.

Ms Mara, who's always been our favourite history teacher. I've enjoyed learning history in her class and the jokes that we had in the first 20 minutes of each lesson. Haha.

Mrs Ho, who's helped me pick up my geog grades and motivated me to do better for combined humanities.

Mrs Lim, who taught us how to go about tackling our bio questions, and made all the heavy content we had to study much more bearable, especially while we were doing reproduction in humans. Hah.

Last but not least, to all the guys in 433, who've made the past 2 years so much fun and memorable. And thanks guys for putting up with my annoying behaviour and my quirkiness. You all have always helped me see the funny perspective of my problems and made them seem much smaller. The camaraderie I've felt in SJI is something I'll never forget. Thanks for being there for me when I needed all of you.

I'll miss you guys!

Finally, the last day of the Os draws near! After bio tmr, it's all fun and games :D

Going to meet fongface and the gang at 12 to play pool, and maybe a movie. Debating whether to watch Quantum of Solace or Madgascar. As fongface puts it, would we prefer to watch 2 hot babes and 1 dude or cute animals. Tough choice.

Just helped Michelle mix a few songs. Kind of weird request coming out of the blue. But what the heck. Like I have anything to do anyway.
